Watercolor Landscapes for Beginners

Mondays, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm 

Over four weeks, students will learn how to crop photos for stronger compositions, along with basic watercolor techniques for painting landscapes and foliage. We will talk about atmospheric perspective, a painting technique where objects in the distance are often described in less detail and contrast than objects in the foreground. This class is designed for beginners in watercolor and/or landscape painting. Landscape reference photos will be provided but students are encouraged to work from their own photographs as well.

Drawing & Colored Pencil Intensive

Do you have an interest in drawing or learning how to better understand color? Then this class is for you! Over six weeks, students will learn drawing fundamentals including contour line drawing, gestural sketching, understanding light and shadow and then putting all those skills together with the addition of colored pencil. This class is specifically designed for those new to drawing or more intermediate students wishing to brush up on their skills.
