Let’s Make a Mural Workshop & Community Mural Weekend

Students attended two 90-minute workshops to generate mural ideas, draw thumbnail sketches and create a torn paper collage of their final concepts. Andrea took themes generated during the workshops to develop a composition incorporating the students’ interests. Our Community Mural Weekend took place on October 18-19, 2025 where we made great progress towards finishing the mural in the backyard of GreenHouse Studio.

CORAL GREEN STUDIOS

Coral Green Studios (2022-2025) was an artist-run collective based in South St. Louis City founded by Amy Reidel, Amelia-Colette Jones and Andrea Henry Tharian. Coral Green’s mission was to support historically under-recognized artists, including women, mothers and LGBTQIA+ persons, through annual exhibitions, special projects and community programming. Coral Green Studios was a recipient of an Artist’s Support Grant for Artist Collectives from the Regional Arts Commission (2023, 2025).

Haven

Haven, an installation of 1500 ceramic and paper forms at the Kranzberg Arts Center (2016), was funded by an Artist’s Support Grant from the Regional Arts Commission. Clay parties were an integral part of bringing the installation to life and were held in the basement and backyard of the artist’s home studio.
